Nature has crafted a mirror to reflect her many differents appearances: snow covered mountains, melting glaciers, verdant swamps or chromatic deserts. The fascinating patterns of marble are far beyond mere lines and dots; they are rather like the natural landscapes in aerial view, or miracles under a microscope. It is no wonder that marble has been highly prized by sculptors and architects since the invention of metal tools during the Bronze Age. Among the commonly available stones, only marble has a slight translucency, which seems like a reflection of the human skin.
